Each year, my parents and grandparents gave me an ornament. Some were really fancy, and some were really plastic. After all, I did beg for that $.99 raccoon in a dress sitting on top of Christmas presents Wal-Mart ornament-classy then, classy now! Each one tells a story, and makes me smile when I unwrap it from its ancient tissue paper protection. Now, that same tradition has been passed on to my kids, who love getting their ornaments too. They really enjoy putting them on the tree, while I cringe because their choice of placement MAKES NO SENSE! Christmas OCD has commenced. Anyways, here are some of my favorites
